LA + Virtual - R&B Slow Flow with Mel
(virtual $8/pp + in-person $25/pp)

This 60-min restorative vinyasa flow led by Mel Douglas of BWYC is all about having fun and slowing this down. Explore an all-levels vinyasa practice with lots of options for props and modifications offered throughout while you enjoy a curated playlist of r&b faves.

  • Virtual classes take place on Zoom at various times each month, see above calendar for current dates.

  • In-person classes take place at Empowered Yoga Studio in Venice/Culver City every Saturday at 11:30am pst.

Mel’s B-day HIIT Yoga Flow
$8/pp

We’re celebrating Mel’s birthday with a 60-min flow led that combines high intensity interval training (HIIT) with Vinyasa yoga for a dynamic and challenging practice. Set to uptempo music with faster paced movements. Lots of options offered throughout, so you can adjust the level of challenge and meet yourself where you are.

Community Class: Chill Vinyasa Flow w. Drew
Donation Based

Join us for our monthly donation-based virtual community offering! This month we're enjoying a Chill Vinyasa Flow with Drew!

Move through an intentional, calming vinyasa flow designed to leave you feeling chill and grounded. This class is accessible to all levels of practice, with lots of options for adjustments and modifications offered throughout.

Women’s Healing Circle w. Mel
Theme: Cultivating Freedom
$15/pp

Join us for this month's virtual Women's Healing Circle where we'll focus on ways to cultivate a new sense of freedom in your life through intentional, mindful practices.

This 90-min workshop will include a 30-min restorative yoga flow and 10-min sound bath with Mel. Practice will be followed by a workshop where we’ll explore ways tools, tips, and practices for feeling and expressing yourself more freely. We'll discuss our different experiences and the ways we're cultivating more freedom in our lives while building community.

Anyone who identifies as a woman is welcome to attend this circle.


Finding Your Voice & the Business of Yoga

Join BWYC for a 2-day training centered on growing as a wellness entrepreneur and building community around your offerings.

During day 1 we'll focus on Finding Your Voice and explore:
- Identifying your personal brand
- Language & Intentionality
- Goal setting and continued development

On day 2 we'll dive into The Business of Wellness and learn more about:
- Small Business Best Practices
- Leadership & Community Building
- Branding & Marketing

All attendees will receive a 25+ page workbook filled with business info, growth + business analysis activities, and lots more. We will also be providing a link to digital resources including business calendars, social planning templates, and other tools for using what you learn in real life.

Moving Through Conversation w. Drew
$8/pp

Moving Through Conversation is a practice of movement and healthful engagement through dialogue led by Drew Muse.

The intention behind this 60 min class/workshop is to collectively hold space for one another in the comfort of our community following a yoga flow that is accessible to all levels of practice. We often confront discomfort within our practice much like we experience in conversation.

Yet the goal always is to work through the resistance, to trust yourself, to reflect on what is coming up, to release what doesn’t serve you, to build upon the information you received.

Anyone is welcome and encouraged to join this class.
